Sundara Kandam- A commentary Chapters 63-68

Chapter 63
Dhadhimukan complaining to Sugreevan
Sugreevan requests his uncle the reason his bleeding wounds and to give full details for him to initiate action. Dhadhimukan says “ under your instruction, I have been guarding the Madhuvanam garden ensuring that nobody without your permission can enter the garden. A group og Vaanaraas along with Prince Angathan, Aanjaneyar and Jaambavaan entered forcibly and overpowering our preventive advice and action . They are taking and drinking honey and fruits and throw off half eater fruits here and there and destroying the plants and creepers and the trees. Please give suitable punishment to them so thatthey will never repeat such activities.”
Lakshmanan asked Sugreevan about this person and Sugreevan replies” Lord Brahmaa gifted this beautiful garden to my father and we keep it for our personal use and no one is allowed inside. If the vaanaraas can embark on such activities in spite of the presence of Prince Angathan, aanjaneyar and Jaambavaan, it conveys the reason tht they have found out the location of Sita. Because with Anjaneyar there, he alone must have achieved this due to his extraordinary intellect, full intensive involvement on a job and sureshot achievement, along with his valour, the task must have been completed. O, uncle please tell them I ordered all of them to immediately come and meet me, since we are all eagerly awaiting the details of Sita being located. “
Raamar and Lakshmanan look totally relieved of tension and became very happy and eager to meet the vaanaraas especially Aanjaneyar.
Lesson – 63 :
Though various methods conveying and communicating methods are there, this method of drawing their attention and thereby they get inference about the result is also a way. The same line of thinking Aanjaneyar adopted when he wanted to meet Raavanan in person by destroying the Ashoka vanam and drawing the attention of Raavanan. This method was adapted here by Aanjaneyar for all of us to learn and adopt such effective method coming out of intelligence and innovation in our life. We lready practice this. When we buy something very interesting, we try to spring surprise to our people before exposing the gift material.
Let Aanjaneyar be the total guiding force for us.
Thus the sixty-third chapter of Sundarakandam is completed.

They all immediately agreed. With lot of enthusiasm , they all jumped and jumped shouting and making loud shrieks and noises while going. Hering this type of noise, Sugreevan assured Rama that these vaanaraas have definitely located Sita which is reflected by their extra enthusiasm.
All the vaanaraas made Aanjaneyar to stand I the front, since he alone can explain and tell the details. Aanjaneyar prostrated before Rama, telling him “ located and saw Sita Amma”. That small statement made Rama extremely happy and relieved of their anxiety and tension.

Lesson - 64 :
It is customary to do first namaskarams to elders in the house, as soon as we return after completing a pilgrimage to holy places or rivers successfully. We convey to them that it was possible due to their blessings only. This is demonstrated by Aanjaneyar who guides us ever to lead a trouble free and successful life.

She was very much depressed and always thinking about you. Though frequently freightened by the harsh words of Raavanan whenever he visits her, she is steadfast in thinking about you all the time, which acts as the protective shield for her. She has become lean as she is not taking food or has sleep regularly. For her to gain confidence in me , I started telling her about the greatness of Ikshwaaku dynasty and also about you. Afterwards only she cleared all her doubts and started conversing with me. That shows her great devotion and affection to you.
Sita Amma enquired about your health and wellbeing. She explained her situation around her currently which demands immediate springing action from you to save her. She told me about the chithrakoota incident where a crow harming her was punished by you and subsequently when it came to you as saranaagathi, your forgiving it and showed compassion to it. Also she remembered you putting tilak on her forehead at Dhandakaaranya. She removed the ornament choodaamani which she kept in the saree tip and wanted me to hand ovr to you, so that even if she feels less comfort without this ornament, being the company to her , by this you will remember that immediate action is required. She repeated several times that you should come to Lanka immediately, win over Raavanan and protect her from her predicament.

That is all about my trip and meeting Sita Amma. I request our immediate action towards this objective.
Aanjaneyar gives the Choodaamani to Rama.

Now this is here but my Sita still out of my sight “. He was full of deep thoughts and emotions. He tells Aanjaneyar “ Please tell in full detail, her conversations with you and what she asked you to convey to me while giving this ornament. Once I listen to it, I will get comfort and motivation to spring into action immediately.”
Aanjaneyr elaborates” My respectful Rama, Sita Amma narrated a story which happened at Chithrakootam when a crow with its beak, was hurting Sita Amma physically to the extent of blood oozing. Full of anger, You pulled a bit of grass from the ground, chanted the Brahmma manthram on it and sent it on the crow. It was going here and there to all Gods and saints for protection but being Rama asthram, they cannot do anything and they advised the crow to go back to Rama who is always full of compassion for the people who surrender to him. The crow came beck and fell at your feet and you pardoned its mistake . With that level of mind full of compassion, she asked me why Rama still has not come here to kill all the Raakshasaas and save me from this ocean of misery and sufferings. Hence Sita Amma said, “Aanjaneya, please give this choodaamani to him and this will definitely constantly remind him of his commitment and action to be taken to protect me. Ask him to come immediately ”
She further said with pained heart and continuing her request to you.
Lesson – 66 & 67 :
The necessities, the urgency and also priorities of the action to be taken are sequentialised in a very thoughtful and careful manner which definitely touch the heart and provoke to spring into action instantly is the broad and essential lesson Aanjaneyar has for us to follow. Chapter 68
Aanjaneyar conveys Sita Amma’s prayer and pleadings to Rama
Sita Amma continued” O, Aanjaneya, Whatever you have done so far, I cannot imagine anybody else is capable of achieving. You should return and convey to Rama so that he will with all his might and valour, come here and fight with Raavanan and his army ,over power and win over them and then lift me from this ocean of misery. That is what should befit him. Go and tell Rama in full whatever I told you for him to understand and realize the gravity and the intensity of the situation and he would act immediately.
Then she said”Aanjaneya, when you talk to me about Rama, I feel like getting healing medicines soothing and comforting me and I feel like go on listening to it but unless you start and reach Rama, I fully understand how Rama can come early. “ with these words, Sita Amma gave me permission with lot of reluctance, willingness and expectations.
I told her” Sit Amma, Sugreevan has a big army who have greater capabilities than me. We all will accompany Rama when he comes here to fight Raavanan. Now be confident that all the despair, diffidence, misery and grueling situations will vanish fully and you are going to witness permanent solution for all your problems lifting you off from this miserable time. We are confident to see you both together after Rama wins over Raavanan and his army. This is going to happen definitely.” On listening to this Sita Amma got full confidence.
